The Holocaust Educational Trust was founded in 1988 by Lord Janner and the late Lord Merlyn Rees.
Established in 1988, we are the leading authority on Holocaust education in the UK. We educate people from every background, all over the country, to ensure that the Holocaust has a permanent place in our nation’s collective memory.
We work in schools, universities and in the community to raise awareness and understanding of the Holocaust, providing teacher training, an Outreach programme for schools, teaching aids and resource materials.
Today, in an increasing fragile world, the work of the Holocaust Educational Trust is more vital than ever. Your support will enable us to educate the next generation about the Holocaust and ensure young people have the knowledge to stand up against antisemitism, hatred and prejudice in all its forms.
WITH YOUR SUPPORT, IN THE COMING YEAR WE WILL EDUCATE:
• Over 1,000 teachers who will go on to educate and inspire thousands of students
• Over 3,000 Ambassadors providing them with the skills and knowledge to defend the truth of the Holocaust
• Over 120,000 students who will hear the first hand testimony of a Holocaust survivor through our Outreach programme
